My favourite ship in Eve when it comes to missions, ratting and complexes has to be the Golem. I have maxed out all the skills for this ship and it now has a awesome tank.
I have it outfitted it with a Gist B-type X-large Shieldbooster which I can run forever. So as soon as I enter a complex, I turn on my shieldbooster and my shield hardly goes down at all.
I use torpedoes as my main weapon and take down the frigs with my t2 light drones. With the proper setup and the correct (t2) torpedoes I can reach targets to a max range of 60km and do some nice damage to them.
